Environment New York Research & Policy Center
Clean water to drink and clean air to breathe; healthy lakes and rivers that are safe for swimming and fishing; preserved open spaces; clean sources of energy that don’t pollute and never run out — all this should be the heritage we leave to future generations. Our staff research the issues, educate the public, and win tangible results.
Investigating problems and crafting solutions
Protecting the air we breathe. Every New Yorker should be able to breathe clean air. But smog pollution from power plants and vehicles puts the health of our children and families at risk. Our new report, Danger in the Air, shone a light on the smoggiest cities and counties in New York, and recommended solutions for cleaning up our air.
Educating the public and making our voices heard.
Cleaner cars. New Yorkers will consume less oil, and breathe cleaner air, thanks to our work to pave the way for President Obama’s 2011 program to clean up cars nationwide.
Environment New York Research & Policy Center would like to thank Pittman Family Foundation, C.A.N. Foundation, Jewish Communal Fund, The Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation and Anderson-Rogers Foundation Inc. for supporting our work in Fiscal Year 2017.
