Heather is the Director of Environment New York. As such, Heather coordinates the organization's field resources, media work, membership development and coalition outreach. Specifically, Heather is working on a broad array of environmental issues that are critical to the Empire State, including preventing fracking and efforts to combat global warming. Heather has also worked to promote policies that incentivize a clean energy economy through renewable and energy efficiency programs.

Heather received her J.D. from Pace Law School with certificates in Environmental and International Law and her B.A. in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. Prior to joining Environment New York in 2013, Heather had the privilege of representing the Dominican Republic in negotiations leading up to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. While in law school, Heather also interned with the Criminal Enforcement Division of the Environmental Protection Agency, Amnesty International USA, Human Rights Watch, and the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice at NYU School of Law.
